Ted Kittila has served as lead counsel in some of Delaware's most demanding corporate disputes. He clerked in the Delaware Court of Chancery from 2000 to 2001, and that foundation shows. His case wins include a 2025 SPAC merger dismissal in United Atlantic Ventures v. TMTG Sub Inc., a successful Third Circuit appeal in CIGNEX Datamatics v. Lam Research, and a breach of fiduciary duty finding in OptimisCorp v. Atkins in 2023.
Before founding HFK in 2017, Ted built his practice at Weil, Gotshal and Manges in New York, then returned to Delaware to start Greenhill Law Group on his own in 2013. His work has drawn coverage in The Wall Street Journal and has included expert testimony on Delaware law for courts both in the U.S. and abroad. He's also represented international clients including the Government of Nevis in federal bankruptcy proceedings.
Mentorship, Faith, and Showing Up
Ted Kittila teaches Trial Advocacy at Rutgers Law School and trains lawyers through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. His pro bono work reflects what he actually believes: he has represented victims of the October 7 attack in Israel, a Muslim prisoner seeking Halal food, and a homeowner fined for flying the U.S. flag. These cases aren't about headlines. They're about standing up for people who need someone in their corner.
His faith at Calvary Chapel of Delaware County shapes how he counsels clients through hard moments. Every November, Ted builds a model train display at HFK's Wilmington office and opens the doors to the community.
